HRH The Princess Royal in her capacity as President, British Knitting and Clothing Export Council visited Charles Kirk in Worthing on Monday, April 3 2000. During her visit HRH met and talked with many members of staff and was shown all aspects of the manufacturing process. HRH showed a keen and informed interest in all that she saw. At the conclusion of her visit HRH opened the company's newly developed website and unveiled a plaque commemorating her visit. The Managing Director, Charles Horton said afterwards;'We were delighted that HRH The Princess Royal found time to visit us in her busy schedule. It was a great boost in morale for all of us at Charles Kirk and we appreciated greatly the time and input she gave us'.

Charles Kirk had a busy two days at the Schoolwear 2000 show at the AIS Exhibition Centre, Solihull in November. At the show we introduced a new lightweight wool/nylon fully fashioned pullover to our range and a new cardigan style for the millenium. A video was on display showing the manufacturing process at our factory in Worthing andmany visitors commented on the skill of the operators shown.
Charles Kirk and Company Limited celebrated their 60th birthday by being presented with a plaque for achieving Investors in People status.

Every member of staff was presented with a mug to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the company.
